Proposed Program

Four talented young musicians from the foothills won the Sierra Symphony’s 2009-2010 Young Artist Competition this spring. They will perform their winning entries with the orchestra in concert on Sunday April 25 at 2:00 PM.

Mary Jade Farruggia will perform on the Violin.
Lucas Bailey will perform on the clarinet.
Ian Ellis will perform on the trombone.
Sara Valentine will perform on the oboe.

The outstanding abilities and musicianship of these young artists will dazzle the audience. The orchestra looks forward to this annual event in which we are able to present the accomplishments of highly talented and promising young musicians to our community.

The orchestra will also perform "Night on Bald Mountain", "Movement 1 of Scheherazade" and "Overture to Rosamunde".

Don’t miss this opportunity on Sunday April 25 to hear live symphonic performance of the world’s great music, which will take place at Placerville Seventh Day Adventist Church on Mother Lode Drive at Missouri Flat. Tickets are $8 for adults, available at the door; children and students through high school attend free.
